Vietnam’s Government woking hours:

-  Governmental agencies work 8 hours/day from Monday to Friday

-  Private companies often work from Monday to Friday. Some companies are open on Saturday

-  Banks are open from Monday to Friday. However, somes banks work on Saturday & Sunday.

-  Almost shops are open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily

* Ordinance dated April 28th 2000 on Entry, Exit and Residence of Foreigners in Viet Nam.

* Decree No. 21/2001/NĐ-CP dated May 28th 2001 by the Government detailing on the implementation of the Ordinance on Entry, Exit and Residence of Foreigners in Viet Nam

In order to contribute to implementing the State's policy on development of friendly and cooperative relations with foreign countries and protect the national interests and sovereignty, this Ordinance prescribes the entry, exit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam.

In understanding the Vietnamese community abroad as inseparable sections of the Vietnamese nation, Resolution 36-NQ/TW of the CPV Politburo on overseas Vietnamese affairs was proposed “to create favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to come back, visit their homeland and relatives, and worship their ancestors”.

Those citizens of one country may stay in the other country for up to 30 days instead of 14 days as before, says the department.
